When Do You Need A Progressive Die?

The decision to use progressive dies in part production is influenced by both the volume of production needed and the complexity of the part. These two basic factors are essential to the manufacturer’s ability to produce cost-effective, quality parts.

Our commitment to doing business with integrity, as well as the services of our experienced in-house die designer, helps you confidently make the right decision in choosing the appropriate type of die for your needs.

Toolmasters, Inc. produces all types of the dies used by industry. However, if we specialized in one type of die, it might be the progressive die. Over the years, we have built a wide variety of progressive dies.

Used to rapidly produce small workpieces, progressive dies save our customers both time and money. The progressive die simultaneously performs multiple moderations on a piece of sheet metal. The die drawing (stamping) process feeds a strip of metal through several stamping stations, each of which performs one or more operations to create a completed part with each stroke of the press.

Precision is critical. Each strip of metal must align within a few thousandths of an inch as it moves from station to station. Our experienced in-house die design uses the best equipment and allows Toolmasters to ensure that every progressive die is designed with the necessary precision.

From part print to finished part, you can rely on Toolmasters, Inc.—the tool and die shop where quality still counts.
